PAULA KORNYE TILLMAN

A LETTER FROM THE OWNER: PAULA KORNYE TILLMAN -

Paula Kornye Tillman -

It is sometimes hard to pin down one’s initial launch into the arena of fine art. My involvement with and love of art started, quite simply, with my family. My parents became interested in art in the late 1960s, and by the 1970s their passion for the visual arts had grown into a gallery business.  I was in high school when I started hanging around their Fort Worth gallery, and continued to help when they relocated to Dallas in the 1980s. After initially following a different career path, I decided to go back to school, earn a degree in art history, and pursue a career in the visual arts full time. I opened Galerie Kornye West in Fort Worth’s cultural district in January of 1998. My goal was to make every visitor feel welcome and comfortable. I wanted to share the stories of the artists I represented and explain what inspired each one’s creative process and drive. I was equally dedicated to sharing with gallery visitors the benefits of becoming a collector, the steward of a moment in time as seen through the artist’s eye and put down on canvas.  As I have transitioned into art consulting and curating an annual show, I have sustained my devotion and dedication to the visual arts by continuing to work with a stellar stable of artists, along with my committed and discerning collectors.  As always, my wish is, that this ongoing collaboration will bring years of viewing pleasure and an enhanced quality of life to all participants.

We are now a "by appointment only" gallery specializing in private art consulting.
