About the Artist:
Wayne A. Salge was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. In addition to serving in Vietnam, he has enjoyed several different occupations that include television art director, Army illustrator, advertising agency art director, freelance graphic designer and illustrator, painter working with oils and acrylics and sculptor in stone and bronze.
Wayne attended San Antonio College and La Villita School of Art, both in San Antonio, Texas. He has also participated in bronze foundry and stone sculpture workshops in Denver and Golden, Colorado.

The Artist on His Art:

"My design style has been evident in my artwork from early years even in acrylic paintings, graphics and stone sculpture. Even though [the style] is recognizable, it is not easy to label or describe. If it were a painting, I would use the term impressionism. Sometimes the terminology stylized, modern or contemporary is used. It falls somewhere between realism and abstraction."
